Deputy Commissioner for Green, Healthy and Sustainable Homes, Baltimore Department of Housing and Community Development
Throughout her career, Alice Kennedy has held leadership positions in green construction, real estate, project management, strategic planning and political campaign strategy. In her current position as Deputy Commissioner of Housing, for Green, Healthy and Sustainable Homes Alice oversees a number of Baltimore’s housing programs including weatherization, lead hazard reduction, and Baltimore Energy Challenge, and Baltimore Energy Initiative. Alice focuses on developing new innovative ways to help residents and best practices to coordinate and deliver services.
Prior to her current role, Alice was tapped to lead a multi-agency 3-year implementation of a $52 million Baltimore Energy Initiative – which has been providing millions of dollars of energy conservation and efficiency services to residents, schools, non-profits and business since its launch. Alice was also the lead project manager for developing Baltimore’s Climate Action Plan (CAP) in 2012.
